Carentans Dawn Attack

After downloading and playing countless maps, Denigrah makes his [i]CompanyofHeroesFiles[/i] debut with one of his own! Most of you may recognize the name of this map from playing [url="http://callofduty.filefront.com/"]Call of Duty[/url]...at least, that the first thing that came to my mind when when I read it. For those of you that have heard of the name, but not the story: [i][b]The Battle of [url="http://www.paratrooper-museum.org/"]Carentan[/url][/b] was an engagement in World War II between airborne forces of the United States Army and the German Wehrmacht during the Battle of Normandy. The battle took place between June 10 and June 14, 1944, on the approaches to and within the city of Carentan, France.

The objective of the attacking American forces was consolidation of the U.S. beachheads (Utah Beach and Omaha Beach) and establishment of a continuous defensive line against expected German counterattacks.[/i]

Carentans Dawn Attack is loosley based on the actual event but really aims to give you a mission that you have to work your way to victory, nothing in life is free...you get it through hard work and sacrifice! This map is not all about blood and guts, you have to think about where you build and or place items, the resource points are all set to high and there are more than enough of them.
