Description
Being home sick may be nice for computer time, but the whole sickness part just plain sucks. (And no, it's NOT that stupid swine flu)

Considering what I have seen in the map, combined with the Author's own words, I'd say this is a first map. Warning bells should be sounding for miles around by now. If they aren't, clean your ears.

The concept behind this map is a tomb that has been sealed up. Within this tomb is the coffin (which is missing its body due to there being a large hole in it), a rather small chapel, and a somewhat larger temple. You would think the chapel and the tomb are one in the same, but no. They aren't. All the architecture I could find has the mark of a first map (or early alpha stage of a non-first map), and while that might cause some sympathy, it is drowned out by the fact that the Author broke Sacred Rule #1 in the ancient art of mapping: Don't release your first map.

However, some people are not aware of this rule *cough*, so I'll be nice, and give some general advice to the Author, and any aspiring mappers out there who happen to read this far into the review.

First and foremost, don't release your first map. If you find you are having trouble getting the hang of things, then extend this rule to your third or even fourth map. Next, start small. Concentrate not on making a map, but making details FOR a map. How? Doodads! Make an elevator, or a light post, or a control station. Something that doesn't require massive work, but still gives you good detail experience. When you're ready, go larger, making things like room interiors for use as prefabs, basic maps, and building exteriors. Lastly, If you ever find you need help, don't be afraid to ask! There are people out there who will try to help you and won't laugh at your map. Places like Map-Craft are a good place to start.

Well, that's all for today, children. Run along and download now. :P
