It seemed like people got this impression that a Jedi or a Sith Lord was better identified by the color of their lightsaber rather than their hilt when Expanded Universe authors wrote Star Wars stories after the Original Trilogy was completed. It wasn’t until [i]Star Wars: Attack of the Clone[/i] was released that blade colors were limited and a Jedi or a Sith Lord’s lightsaber was more identified by its hilt design.

It would seem that both BioWare and Obsidian totally ignored the Prequel revelation and stuck more to the Expanded Universe theme by having multiple blade colors to select on the same looking hilt. Later Chuck Chargin made some software that made it possible so that modelers could make new hilts and put them into both [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] games. This is when an author like Evasto comes in and gives us new hilt design to play with which is exactly what he just did.

Evasto brings us another one of his Sith looking lightsaber hilts for us to play with in his latest release of his hilt collections. As usual the author has only made it for the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. It’s also has its own custom red bladed color for the hilt like he’s done before also.

This mod uses the upcrystals.2da file without the TSL Patcher. The good news is from what I can tell, it’s compatible with all his other lightsaber hilt releases, so use the one from this release if you’re using any of the author’s other hilt releases. It’s also compatible with T7nowhere’s Weapons of the Old Republic mod so if you’re using that mod and want to use this hilt, use the upcrystals.2da file from this release. Enjoy the hilt! :D
