Description Well, I was surprised to see that I already had a fully-functional base upon entering this map. Of course, it was an IG base, which was quite odd seeing as how I was playing Tau, so in a way if you play a non-IG race, you get units from two armies as long as you can keep the IG buildings intact.
However, much to my alarm, I found out that the Space Marines I'd planned on slaughtering also had a fully-functional base right off the bat. Whereas Player 1 gets a set-up IG base, Player 2 gets a set-up SM base. I still handed their butts to them in less than five minutes, but eh, a surprise is a surprise.
(At least, I *think* that's the right way round. I had random starting positions on. Ooops.)
Aside from the two bases, each side has a relic under their control right at the start, but other than that it's mostly a flat meadow with some defensive fortifications, minor details in some areas such as the forest behind the northern cliffs, and the occasional water-filled crater, plus there's two lakes.
All in all it's not a bad map, just a hallmark first map. Pretty good for battles of attrition, though, since both bases are perfectly siege-able and equally fortifiable.
Give it a try - it may look dull, but it plays pretty well.
