Description Ah, this is definitely the time of year for re-skins, don't you all agree? I think so.. >_>
What we have here is some more re-skins by Darth Ayreon. The author seems to like pumping out multiple skins in a short amount of time. Sometimes that is good, other times it is bad. In this case, it's really hard to tell. Anyways, the author decided to re-skin the default Jedi, Jedi Master, and the ''J2" Jedi skins originally made by Raven. I thought about it and I realized that the "J2" Jedi is rarely used for re-skinning or modeling. Am I the only one around here that has noticed that? Hmm.. it makes you think. I'd like to give the author credit for this rare sight in our midst. :D
To start off, one of the most notable changes for each of the skins was a re-coloring. Let's review the changes for each of the three skins:
Jedi: No longer has all blue clothes on. The author made the "shirt'' a tannish-brown color, which brings out the 'brownish wraps on each of the Jedi's arms. Also, the Jedi now has more grayish-black pants instead of the boring default color. This definitely adds some uniqueness to the boring, old Jedi we've been playing since Jedi Academy was released.
Jedi Master: His entire wardrobe has been re-colored to purple and his hair has been changed to a whiteish-gray look. To be honest, I really like the way the Jedi Master has been modified. His new look is snazzy and definitely out of the ordinary. Although, he kind of looks like a hustler or a pimp now.. >_>
Jedi J2: You'll immediately notice that the Jedi J2 is no longer human, but... Chiss. I'm not really sure what the purpose of this was, but surprisingly it appealed to me in an odd way. It's kind of funny to see the Jedi J2 as a Chiss. Although, the author is quite unique with his re-skins, so I believe he did a good job on the J2. Anyways, the other changes consist of a color change to the shirt, the sleeves, and the pants. Each of them has been recolored. I'd also like to point out that the sleeves are purple. Does the author have a pimp theme going on here or what? o_O
As far as bugs go, I didn't see any of importance. It's not very common to see any major bugs with re-skins.
And now we reach the topic of improvements. *Dramatic music plays*.. Anyways, moving on! The only improvements that I recommend are most minor. My biggest gripe is probably the re-colored hair on the Jedi Master. I don't know if this is just me, but I feel like it could of been done better. Maybe you could add some more effect to it or mix colors a bit. I'm just throwing out ideas. Another minor improvement I'd like to possibly see is sound files. I was expecting some new sounds for each of the re-skinned Jedi's, but I didn't find any. Maybe if you make a V2, you could add some new sounds. That would definitely add some more fun.
Overall, these ''New Jedi'' are pretty good. As for the author, I'd take a few seconds to look over my recommendations and see if you can improve anything, it would definitely add some more flavor to your re-skins. Keep up the good work! This is definitely worth a download if you want a change for the three Jedi skins.
