Operation Market Garden

As the previous version came with some issues, Clone_Commando wasted no time applying a fix and supplying you with this, version 2 of Operation Market Garden! This version allows you to get to the resourcepoints on the bridges and go completely across by wading through an area of the river; However, defending the bridges is still the better idea as traversing the river will slow you down. This is a fixed version, so the original description is as follows: You [u]cannot[/u] have a WWII based game, and have maps created for it without having a few based on one of the most famous actions of that World War, Operation Market Garden; For those of you that have been busy for the last...oh, sixty years or so, on 17 September 1944, thousands of paratroopers descended from the sky by parachute or glider up to 150 km behind enemy lines. Their goal: to secure to bridges across the rivers in Holland so that the Allied army could advance rapidly northwards and turn right into the lowlands of Germany, hereby skirting around the Siegfried line, the German defence line. If all carried out as planned it should have ended the war by Christmas 1944.

Unfortunately this daring plan didn't have the expected outcome. The bridge at Arnhem proved to be 'a bridge too far'. After 10 days of bitter fighting the operation ended with the evacuation of the remainder of the 1st British Airborne Division from the Arnhem area.

Clone_Commando brings you a map of an indescribable time in history that will be enjoyable regardless of the amount of times you play it; This map is an 8 player map where the Allies have landed adjacent from Germany and are preparing for their Invasion of a small town as a foothold. Take command or crush the invasion to declare the fate of the war. The main goal of each side should be a High Fuel point at the airfield. Battles will become intense as there are gaps between buildings and several kill zones, you can use the gaps in the buildings as ambush points.
