Description
This is the second version of the Rainbow Road to hit JKFiles (I think) and this particular author has approached the well-known Mario Kart track a little differently than the last. The track itself is flat, and by flat I mean that it has no vertical depth, which is kind of a nice addition. The texture follows the curves in the track, keeping the coloring continual throughout the track, and the entire track has been given a bit of a glow, for effect.

A couple of things I haven\'t seen in a Rainbow Road map so far include: a new and custom skybox, including characters from the game, custom sounds played at different times during the map/track, and there\'s also a jump in the track. A couple of things that are still missing are the karts themselves (you could jury-rig a futuristic hovering go-kart -- ooh, that sounds like fun) and the starry fencing along the sides of the track are also still missing. The author seemingly had planned on adding this border, but had a problem with the shaders and scrapped it. Perhaps for a version two he could get a little assistance and get that worked back into the map.

There are a few other gameplay-oriented details I felt should be mentioned. You can fall off the map (boo-hiss) but instead of dying, you are simply teleported to the starting line. You don\'t die, but you\'ve definitely lost your lead! Assuming you were out front. If you\'re at the back, no loss, eh? I\'d recommend falling off the track at least once, though. It\'s kind of funny. :D
