Description Here we have the second version of SithMasteR555's SwordMod (version one [file="75208"]found here[/file]). I was somewhat disappointed that the author didn't seem to take any of the advice from his version one review to heart, but rather simply added lots more weapons with the same quality as the first version. This produces something of a win-lose situation: we win, because there's lots of variety to choose from, but we lose because it's not of the caliber it could be if he had listened to his original reviewer's advice.
There are seven melee weapons for you to choose from with this pack: Spear of the Sith, Axe of Emerald, Sword of Sapphire, Sword of Black Metal, Sword of Ruby, Sword of Lava, and Sword of Purple Liquid. Descriptive names, no? I didn't look at all seven weapons in detail, but the ones I did see seemed very consistent so I'm going to assume, based on that and on the screenshots, that the comments I can make of those I did look at will apply to all the weapons.
Here are my crits, for hopeful improvement on future models. They've got a little bit too much mesh detail in comparison to the (lack of) detail in the textures. The meshes have an excessive amount of edges, especially in curved areas (hey, this is Jedi Outcast, not Half-Life 2!) and the detail isn't really necessary. However the level of detail in the mesh and in the texture should really balance, and the model detail far outweighs the texture detail, of which there is little to none.
Another nice addition to any future models would be detailed UV maps and more detailed textures. Random application of stock textures almost never results in a nice-looking product, and this is really no exception. Overall a lot more attention needs to be paid attention to these, to ensure that the final product is just as good as the original concept.
