Description
Is this the third Soul Edge on this site or the fourth? I honestly can't remember. In any case, it doesn't really matter since all of them look different. This particular Soul Edge seems to be the one wielded by Nightmare in Soul Calibur III.

I found this particular model to be a little disappointing. It cut corners in a lot of places it shouldn't have. For instance the textures are 100% photosourced, and it quite shows. The model is very blocky, and no UV mapping was done for the sides of the model, so the texture stretches quite badly, which can be seen in the screenshots. The unfortunate part is that the model has far more detail than has been put into the texturing, leaving it somewhat lacking.

Unfortuantely stretched faces is not the only problem with this weapon. Firstly, it has been packaged in the PK3 improperly (your directory structure should start with models, not gamedata). This doesn't seem to have too bad of an effect on gameplay, but I find the choice to make the sword a staff to be silly. This is a huge sword! Yet you're holding it horizontal, for one, and waving it around fast, for two! I think it's far more suitable to a single-saber strong stance, myself. It's hard enough fitting this type of weapon in the game at all, so making it as realistic as possible is a must.

Overall it's a decent model that suffers from a typical flaw - much more attention in one area than others. I would really benefit from some balance in this respect, and a better set up would really enhance its overall playability.
