Spire Dark Jedi

Well, he’s back. Shadowleader has another mod for us available to play with in the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. All right, another K1 mod again for those who think that there isn’t enough of those made. That is a good thing since TSL mods dominate this site.

This particular one has one of the Sith Soldiers on the Endar Spire become a Dark Jedi. This mod is meant for your PC to have a fight with him. If you played the game enough, you may recall the moment where you are told by Trask to equip a melee weapon and your character does ask if an enemy has a lightsaber. Anyway, the author thought it would be cool if you actually do run into a Dark Jedi in that part. I really like this idea.

Well, I read the readme and it mentions a possible bug that the Dark Jedi may not fight you. I decided to check it out for myself so I played with it and noticed that no matter what I do, the Dark Jedi will not fight me. If you advance past the two Sith Soldiers that are waiting for you, everybody that is fighting on the front of the ship gets killed by explosions before you have a chance to fight. After four tries I could not get that Dark Jedi to fight me. I did take notice that the Dark Jedi will drop his lightsaber for you to pick up. It’s a Dark Jedi lightsaber that isn’t upgradeable. This particular lightsaber by default is never droppable by default, so consider it a gift if you want.

If I could give advice to the author, I would have changed another UTC file (always do a search in the KOTOR and make it is not duplicated in another module) to one of the Sith Soldiers that does wait for you if you intended on having your character and Trask fight a Dark Jedi.
