Description You know why people can pass off badly-skinned weapons as works of art? Shaders. You look at a skin that's been made with the paintbucket tool and the reaction is "boo! hiss!" But you see a weapon that's been made with only paintbucketing and you think "omg that's the best mod ever!" because it has a chrome shader. But I know better, so I'll pass my knowledge onto you. These weapons were not skinned well at all, and I hate weapons that use shaders to cover up laziness or lack of skill. If you want to put out something good, take the extra time and either learn how to do it or find a partner to work with you. There's no reason to put out something that's only half done, and "well the community doesn't know any better" is a horrible excuse.
So basically what we've got here is Cloud's First Sword from the popular movie Advent Children. Unfortunately the skins are all either pure flat colors or flat colors with a slight noise/motion blur combination. Very close to the bare minimum. The models themselves have much more detail than they need in comparison with the skins provided. In other words the level of detail throughout these models is inconsistent - higher-poly models should have more detailed skins, not less detailed skins.
If you're looking for a really excellent pack of Advent Children swords, I really wouldn't consider this it. But as it's all we have to work with now you'll have to settle. Had more thought and effort been put into the texturing and not just left for shaders to cover up I'd have a much warmer reception for this pack, but when it's obvious someone skipped out on a whole part of a mod just to push it to release, especially on a version two mod after people have already mentioned the quality of the textures, I'm just unable to be very cheerful about it.
Oh yeah, and all the weapons do work in SP just fine. I would kill the ugly sword trail next time, though.
