Description
Who says you can't have Christmas themed weapons after the 25th? Everybody loves Candy canes!

Here we have a Candy cane sword model, which is simply a pointed tube. Simple isn't it? Aye. As the author stated in his readme, this is his first stab at modeling swords. To be honest, it's not to shabby. Let's take an in-depth dive behind the scenes of this Candy cane.

The first thing you'll notice about this Candy cane is, well, the candy cane. The author decided to make a sword which is a food. Although we've seen this idea before, this is quite interesting if I must say so myself. I never pictured myself hacking and slashing at people with a giant candy cane.. have you? I didn't think so. Only in our dreams, right? >_>

As we move on, we notice the textures. Overall, they aren't that bad. I would suggest improving them a bit though. The author even stated that the textures aren't very good, and the lines on the candy cane don't match up correctly (Along with some fuzzy parts on it as well.) Nevertheless, you can always improve these textures in a version two. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The last thing I'd like to give awareness is the sound files. Unfortunately, they are the default saber sounds. I expected the author to add some sort of Christmas-themed sounds, seeing that there is no Candy cane noises in existence (except for the breaking of them upon the floor.) Although, I was wrong on my part. It's only version one though, so there's always time to find some fresh sounds to use for a version two.

Overall, this isn't a bad first stab at modeling swords. I loved the idea of a Candy cane causing havoc across the Jedi Academy servers though. I thank you for that image in my head, really. I suggest you read over my recommendations for improvements though. I hope to see a version two soon enough. This is definitely worth a download if you want to beat other players with giant Candy canes!
