Description This model... well, this model was posted on the forums before release, and we all tried to give him pointers to improve the model, and he seemingly ignored us. We told him to use "1 pixel lovin'", which is when you do details in a 1-pixel brush. Apparently he used the pencil tool instead, and the sword is UV mapped quite poorly so the texture stretches very badly, making the 1 pixel penciling look like gigundous blocks on the sword.
I wasn't about to count the number of sides on the hilt, but from a cursory look it seems to be about 16. Sure, the engine can handle 16 sides on a hilt, but that's way more than necessary. And when you can easily get away with 8 sides, there's no reason to double it in the name of "smoothness", considering the hands will be covering that section of the model anyway.
There are a few other things that are "off". First of all, the way the sword is held in-game has the model holding the pommel. The model should have been moved down so that the hands bolt in the correct position. Also the way it it rotated, the hiltguards clip through the model's face. A lot could be improved here, and I certainly hope the author will listen to these criticisms this time so he can improve for next time.
