Description Random swords. Does this mean random as in "randomly chosen remakes of famous blades," or "randomly constructed swords with random ideas behind them"? You be the judge.
The swords in this pack aren't the most appealing things on planet Earth, and I daresay they go a little out-on-a-limb with the color scheme, although they do resemble swords very well. There are four swords given here: Crusader, Greek Hoplite, Redemption and Knights Templar.
I'm not going to go into a full description of each individual sword, but they mostly consist of a gray-colored blade and a colored cross-guard. They're very straightforward. The blade textures themselves arent bad at all...they may be low-detail, but that also gives it a brand-new shiny appearance. But the hilts...well, in my opinion, they look a little out-of-place. It's not so much the colors as it is the smoothness and polygon edges...especially the cross-guards. Redemption and Greek Hoplite could use a little scarring/fancying up, whereas Knights Templar and Crusader could probably do with less black pits and more fancy designs.
Some extras are also included. Sounds were given, which is always a must with swords. Also, new animations and stances were given for the swords, so when you use them you'll be in an appropriate pose for battle. They only gripe I had with the animations is that after a swing there's a little "pop" where the old stance animation ends and the new stance takes over. You might want to look for a way to smooth that out if you make another version, if it's possible.
Shaders were added since v1, but they didn't seem to work for me in-game, and if they did, it wasn't very noticeable.
So, have a look at the screenshots and decide whether or not you're interested. Not a lot has changed overall, but there's enough here to make this sword pack worth downloading for sure.
