Revans Lightaber

Let’s face it; before Revan became the Dark Lord of the Sith before the events of the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game, he had a lightsaber while he/she was a Jedi. At some point Revan abandoned the lightsaber when becoming the Dark Lord of the Sith while constructing a new red bladed lightsaber.

How it looked is a mystery. However DarthDingDong decided to make a new lightsaber hilt that bears the name of Revan. I do like the hilt design a lot, but I think it’s too thick in the player’s hand. I would make it thinner and keep the same length. The author also made a custom purple blade. When I checked it out (since the author didn’t provide a screenshot of the blade); it had a really unrealistic look to it and if I remember right Darth Revan’s canon lightsaber color is blue. If you’re a traditionalist in terms of how your blade should look, this blade style isn’t for you. This is for someone who likes those that aren’t quite ordinary. The avatar for the hilt when viewing it in your inventory isn’t centered either, which looks a little weird since I’m used to seeing things centered.

If I was the author, I would have provided different blade colors to use and have the option of using his blade style and traditional blade styles too. It would have been more work, but it would have also made more people happy; especially if you’re someone who isn’t familiar with using the MDLOps program. Heck, why not go further and make it so you can switch crystals in and out of the saber. This lightsaber isn’t upgradable in a safe way. Make sure you don’t try to switch the color crystal out or you’ll crash your game.

This lightsaber can be acquired on Dantooine before you leave the planet. As some of you may have noticed that this is the 2.0 version of this hilt and that is because there were some bugs to fix. Those bugs are listed in the readme file. If you have the original download, just let all the files in this one replace them. Enjoy the hilt! :D
