TFU Pike Lightsaber

The Pike Lightsaber, infamous weapon of the Shadow Guards from the game, The Force Unleashed which was released for most consoles a few months ago. Being a huge fan of the game who has completed it several times for the sheer joy of blasting my enemies away with epic powers non-stop, I was excited when I saw this weapon, as I always thought the pike sabers from TFU were awesome. Now, to remove any confusion, the Shadow Guard is NOT the Red guards you see in the old movies, they are the Emperor's Royal Guards who use a [b]Force[/b] Pike weapon.

The Lightsaber Pike is basically a metal staff, which can ignite a short lightsaber blade on the end. Typically the pike is silver, but I think I also remember seeing a black and gold version in The Force Unleased. The developer of this hilt, Vek, has done a good job but I think more work is needed. In terms of shape its basically perfect and I commend you on that, but I feel the textures and design of the pike could definately be improved.

I have done some looking around and its not easy to find good pictures of this weapon, but I did find a few which do include a bit more design, like some black rings at the top, perhaps a darker texture on the grip and things like that, because at a distance it almost looks like a plain silver pole, this seems to be something to do with the shaders, when your facing one way, it appears that the bottom half is darker, then when you face another way, its the top half.

So yeh, that about sums it up, great idea with putting this together, shape and size is great, but I would like to see a v2 with improved texturing and shaders, or maybe even make a black one with gold trim just for me! Great work for your first attempt Vek, keep it up.
