Akumas Weapons

As our site continues to grow, we get new authors how submit their work here. This will be the third new author to grace the land of FileFront in a row. This time it’s Akuma7802 who makes his FileFront debut to the [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] community with new weapons to play with for the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game.

This new mod features two new sword/vibroblade models known as the Flame and Frozen swords. They are upgradeable. The names give you want they specialize in. The Flame Sword specializes in fire damage while the Frozen Sword specializes in cold damage. The screenshots and the readme show the stat boosts you get for upgrading them.

Also there is two new lightsabers which are called the Fire & Ice lightsabers. They use the standard Bioware lightsaber hilt, but have new skins on the hilt and new saber blade skins to go with them to give them totally different new looks. The bonuses these two new lightsabers give you are in the screenshots and the readme.

There is also a new lightsaber crystal that is added to game play called the Pravus Crystal. The author made it so you can use it also in the standard default lightsabers. He also mentions in the readme that the upgrade.2da and the upcrystals.2da are compatible with most mods, but after checking them out, I know for sure that the upcrystals.2da file is not compatible with any other lightsaber mod out there. This means you will need to do some .2da editing if you want to use this with any other mods you have in your personal override folder if you have the same .2da file in there. Good work, Akuma.
