The Rift is a short custom story for Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Here are some details:

REQUIRES THE AMNESIA 1.3 UPDATE!

Play time: 30 - 50 minutes

Custom assets: Monsters (credits will be provided)

Voice acting: No

Original story: Yes, but short and sweet.

Jumpscares: Minimal. The Rift follows the original Amnesia way of establishing a horror atmosphere without resorting exclusively to cheap jumpscares. No flying naked bodies. I promise!

This project was a test to see if I could cobble together a custom story in one day. Borrowing the design of one of Amnesia's levels (specifically Alexander's study) allowed me to produce an original custom story in about 8 hours. Nothing too in-depth or long, but sufficiently scary and (hopefully) enjoyable. Though inspired by a level from the original game, it is by no means a copy.
Installation:

Please unzip the Rift folder into your custom_stories folder (Amnesia - The Dark Descent > redist > custom_stories).

YOU WILL NEED THE 1.3 UPDATE FOR AMNESIA TO PLAY THIS STORY! If you do not have the update, the game will crash when you try to load level 3
and you will not be able to progress.
