Speaking of The Force Unleashed, I played through it [i]all day[/i] yesterday and beat it before 7 PM. It was a pretty awesome game, and I must say that I absolutely [i]loved[/i] the game physics. If Jedi Academy had the Havok Engine, I would never stop playing it! Anyways, to the review!


Here we have a pretty decent first attempt (this the author's first skin) at making Starkiller with his Heavy Training Gear on. The author decided to use one of the Jaden variants for Starkiller.

After comparing the Force Unleashed heavy training gear with this version, I've come to the conclusion that this needs a lot of work. There is many things that need added, as well as [i]a lot[/i] of textures that need to be implemented. At first glance, I thought the author submitted this without releasing that it was incomplete. Although, he states that he wanted to make this skin blend in with a hot and sandy map so it looks cool. Even though I can see what he was trying to get at, it still doesn't change the fact that this skin needs to be worked on more.

As far as the textures go, the ''yellow'' armor doesn't exactly look like armor if you ask me. The black lines don't really add any true effect to it nor does it add any creativity. Maybe if the author could make the armor a darkish-gray color and add some sort of armor effect, it would look much better than it does now. The upper and lower extremities textures don't look to bad, but they definitely need some more texture work as well.

When I went to look for bugs and/or glitches, I found multiple clipping issues on the shoulders and the waist. These definitely need to be fixed, but since this is the author's first skin, It was kind of expected. These can be fixed in the V2 that is planned. Other than the clipping issues, other things were just minor and were texture related.

One thing I wasn't expecting was that the author added HOUOU's Galen Marek's Back-Handed Lightsaber to replace the second two-handed lightsaber in-game. I'm not really sure if this was absolutely needed, seeing that anybody can download it separately. Oh well.. >_>

Overall, this wasn't a [i]bad[/i] first attempt at skinning. You definitely need a lot of practice and maybe some extra help from an experienced skinner as well. I'm sure you can find somebody who is willing to help you improve your skinning performance. Hopefully this will be improved in a V2, because I'm excited to see what the author will have for us! This is definitely worth a download if you wanna run around in the desert, killing Tusken Raiders or something of that nature! :D
