Into Cerberon: Descent into Doom³ is a total conversion mod bringing the intense action of the original six-degrees-of-freedom shooter, Descent, into the powerhouse Doom 3 engine. For those of you new to the mod, Into Cerberon aims to bring the classic gameplay of the original 6-degrees-of-freedom game, Descent, into the high-powered realm of Doom³.
[b]This version comes with several updates since the previous release:[/b]
Updated codebase to Doom 3 patch 1.3.1. Now users of all four Doom 3
supported OS/architectures can play together: Windows x86, Linux x86, Mac x86, and Mac PowerPC!
New version of ic_mine fixes many sizing issues
Autocannon weapon pickup correctly gives 24 Autocannon ammo, instead of 24 minigun ammo
Corrected a couple of textures
IC 003a is a full release; you do not need to have a prior version of Into Cerberon installed. The future plans for IC 0.0.4 will be to add to the multiplayer experience, with new guns and missiles, dual-weapon wielding, selectable ship paint jobs, upgradeable lasers, and other enhancements. IC 004 will be the first release to not dole out free guns to everyone upon spawn.
