T3-M4’s main role in the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] is pretty small. You buy him from Janice Nall and he opens up the door to the Sith military base on Taris so you can steal the Sith launch codes. After that, you don’t need to use him for anything else for the rest of the game. In fact, once you open the door to the Sith military base, you can take him out of the party and put whoever you want before you enter the base. It wasn’t until [i]Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords[/i] came out where you really got the chance to make use of the astromech droid.

Khaoz Master is back with a mod that changes T3-M4 to S8-C9. There’s a just a skin change which means no new portrait to match it. Unfortunately the author used the smallest (128x128) texture dimension instead of the 512x512 for the texture change out. That means if you’re using the game’s high level graphics, the quality is not going to look great.

Instead of using [b]tk102[/b]’s DLG Editor, and editing T3-M4’s dialogue file (k_htmd_dialog.dlg), the author made the dialogue changes in the dialogue.tlk file. That’s that file you see in the SWKotOR folder. If you’re using a mod that uses that file, you better make a backup and if you’re using a mod that has altered that file; say like a mod that gives you a new Force Power, it won’t work anymore unless you make the compatibility changes. Just make sure you go over the readme file. Enjoy the new mod! :D
