Description Greatings true believer! This is the USS Kelvin, from the opening sequence of the new Star Trek movie. This model was originaly created and textured by Lord Schtupp(aka John Maddock) as the Akula class(TOS), and has been reshaped/textured by myself.
The size of the Kelvin class is not officialy known. However, based upon fan speculation, it would compare to the new Enterprise approximately the same way as the Miranda class compares to the Constitution class refit. According to the official(and conflicting) info, the new Enterprise is somewhere between 600 and 900 meters. By comparison, the Sovereign is 700 meters, meaning the new Enterprise is approximately the same size as the Sovereign, which would make the Kelvin approximately the same size as an Akira.
However, since this may or may not be correct, I have included a large version of the model that is the same size as the Akira in game, as well as a small version of the model that is the same size as the Saber class in game. The large model uses the same hardpoints as the Akira, so if you want to add the large version simply copy the Akira line in the spec file and rename it accordingly. The small model uses the same hardpoints as the Saber class, so if you want to add the small version simply copy the Saber line in the spec file and rename accordingly.
