Description This skinset claims to have "improved" Imperials. Personally I can't even decide where I stand on these. They're not meant to be incredibly dazzling skins, they're just meant to "tweak" the pre-existing Imperial skins to make them better. Do they? I really can't tell. I'm kind of on the fence. It looks like the faces and hair have had the contrast increased, and while my first impression was 'Yeah, that does look better,' the more I look at it I'm not so sure. I can't decide whether it brings out the detail or simply makes the faces washed out and overly bright. Perhaps a little of each.
The clothing has been tweaked because the author said it didn't have much texture, so now it looks a bit like corduroy. It actually doesn't look half bad except for the fact that the author just slapped the texture over the top and didn't take into account that not every piece of the skinmap is straight. You can see from the screenshots that on the "skirt" portion the pattern starts to angle, creating and upside-down V in the middle. This is a classic indicator that the author didn't spend the time on the detail of the skin, just looking for quick results. While this isn't a bad set of replacement Imperial textures, it just needs a little more work to be really usable. That pattern misalignment really irks me, and while I might almost be tempted to use these myself, as they don't look half bad with that corduroy-ish pattern, I'd really want to see that pattern misalignment fixed first.
Obviously as an overwrite (which makes sense for these skins, given that they're tweaks and not a completely new skin) all applicable bot and npc support is included.
