Description Growing up as a child Samus was my favorite video game character. In fact I was convinced that the coolest thing in the world would be to be Samus Aran. Of course since my childhood was late NES // early SNES I am far more fond of the old school Samus, in the clunky suit, with the really big gun. However this Samus isn't really so bad either. I just don't like thinking of her as a ditzy-looking blonde.
Anyway I'm not here to diss the concept, since that's not what the author created. I'm here to diss the skin! Er, review the skin. There's not much to diss in any case, luckily for the author! Not that I would... :D
So this model uses the excellent [file="72010"]Gwethenea[/file] model to create the metroid-blastin' girl herself, but in her more feminine duds as seen in Super Smash Bros: Brawl. Alas, my Super Smash Bros experiences ended with the original. I decided to quit after I was beaten by a five year old... which is a shame, because I loved that game. I always played as Samus, go figure... But screenshots do not lie, and according to them this skin is about as accurate as you can get.
The skin includes two types of shaders in one. It firstly has a nice specular shader, giving a bit of shine to her body. It secondly has a glow shader for her back. Custom sounds are also included, as is a nice looking custom icon. So what are the beefs, you ask? As seen in the author's own screenshot there's a clear spot on the leg where the texture is a bit misaligned (you can see purple where it shouldn't be). Also the model isn't perfect for a Zero Suit Samus. But I'll be the first to admit that it's probably about as close as you can get, so it should more than suffice.
