New Movie Enterprise

This is the third version of the "New Movie Enterprise". There are a number of changes made to both the model and the textures from the second version, which will be highlighted below.

As you will notice above, the Nacelles around the bussard collector have been adjusted so that they extend farther at the top, and receed as they get lower. Another change you can see in the second half of the picture is that the tail end of the ship(between the two nacelles) has been adjusted to be thinner at the tip, giving the bottom of the ship more of a curved look.

In the picture above you can see that the "bulb" at the end of the nacelle has been removed, and the texture for the bulb has been extended over the entire back end of the nacelle. In the bottom picture you can see the "bars" that were between the upper inside area of the nacelles has been removed.

Finally, the picture above shows that new lighting has been added for the ship name and registration on the top and bottom of the saucer, as well as on the outer sides of the nacelles. All textures have been sharpened, and the texture for the bussard collectors has been slightly changed(note the small circle in the center) as well.

Greetings true believer! Hopefully you enjoyed the new Star Trek movie, and from that movie, here is the new Enterprise! This model was originaly created and textured by Pneumonic81(aka Rick Knox) as the original USS Enterprise(TOS version). I have retextured it and adjusted the shape and size to match the alternate Enterprise from the new movie.

According to the official(and conflicting) info, the new Enterprise is somewhere between 600 and 900 meters. By comparison, the Sovereign is 700 meters, meaning the new Enterprise is approximately the same size as the Sovereign. However, since this may or may not be correct, I have included a large version of the model that is the same size as the Sovereign in game, as well as a small version of the model that is the same size as the original Constitution class, which is approximately the same size as the Intrepid in game.

The large model uses the same hardpoints as the Sovereign, so if you want to add the large version simply copy the Sovereign line in the spec file and rename it accordingly. The small model uses the same hardpoints as the Intrepid class, so if you want to add the small version simply copy the Intrepid line in the spec file and rename accordingly.

Additionaly, I have included alternate textures that match the colors of the original Enterprise from TOS, for any who wish to use them.
