Description The final version of the Forloc skin is finally here, and to be honest, it's really not all that impressive.
I'll start with the face. It looks different to the original Obi-Wan model's skin, which is good, but it looks somewhat unrealistic and cartoony. Of course, at a distance you'll never be able to tell, but it's a reviewers job to scrutinise closely. ;) On the whole though, it's a good skinning job.
Next is the outfit on the 'forloc' skin. It's plain, to say the least. It doesn't look like much work has been done on it, and the colors aren't very textured. The team skins are the same, just that a color overlay has been placed on the sash and belt. It's not a bad skin, and it's been skinned well, it's just a case of "seen it all before". It's pretty much a textbook skin.
The Ceremonial skin is better, mostly because more work has been done, but it's not exactly what I'd expect to see a Jedi wearing. Still, the skin works. Again, it looks like a simple matter of color overlays, although this time there's a lot more variation in the colors from the original model. No real comments, the screenshots pretty much speak for themselves.
Finally, onto the Sith version. This is exactly what you'd expect to see from a Sith skin, and I don't mean that in a good way. Still, at least it's not paintbucket black. He looks more like a demon rather than a Sith, to be honest. Sith don't usually have healthy features, nor do they wear black exclusively. A little more creativity would go a long way with Sith skins, so bear this in mind in future, anyone who wants to do a Sith skin - don't hold to the same overdone formula, be creative!
The filesize for this skin was unnecessarily large. 8MBs, and I can't figure out where it all comes from, because quite frankly, logic dictates that it shouldn't be so bulky. Anyway, gripes aside, if you want a new Obi-Wan variant, this one's good enough to spare a download.
