What would Star Wars be without lightsabers? Well, actually, it would probably look something like a certain 1970s TV series. :P But that's beside the point.

DarthDingDong graces our presence once again with a mod that changes the look of the lightsaber blades in the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. The new skins make the blades look more "zappy", the premise being that four thousand years before the movies, technology wouldn't be as advanced. Makes sense to me; in fact, this reminds me of how lightsabers looked in the [i]Tales of the Jedi[/i] comics, which take place about forty years before the games.

The mod replaces all seven saber colors from K1 (blue, red, green, yellow, violet, Heart of the Guardian, and Mantle of the Force). In addition, the yellow looks more...well, yellow than the orangish color BioWare used. So, if you like the look, give it a download.

Just one word of caution: you'll need WinRAR in order to extract the files. It's a free download, I believe, so don't worry about the expense. ;)
