KelDor Valis

Kel Dors are one of those alien races that I actually kind of like. My favorite would have to be Rodians, and after them would be... oh, I don't know, maybe Chiss. Third place though definitely would go to the Kel Dor, who I've always liked with their gas masks and funny heads that look all brainy and squishy. This Kel Dor skin, not surprisingly, contains both a gas mask and a squishy brainy head! It also contains some other pretty neat goodies that I'll get into later.

This Kel Dor skin is the work of Valis_Elensar who is returning after nearly 4 months since his last skin, [url=http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/KelDor_Toran;98627]Kel'Dor Toran[/url]. This is only the author's second skin and I'm surprised at how much he's improved since his first. The project's a reskin of the default Kel Dor model and the default and red skins aren't that spectacular, being just average reskins of the default Kel Dor model. Sure, they look nice, but the red is essentially a red/black rehash of the default skin. Where this pack [i]really[/i] shines is the blue team skin which shows up as a hologram. The hologram effect [i]could[/i] probably be improved by doing a bit more, such as adding scanlines to the textures; the effect is simple enough to achieve but it's something cool that most people don't even try.
