Resistence on Kessel

"Resistance on Kessel" is agent56k's first map. It is located on Kessel, the freezing cold, outer rim planet know for its glitterstim production. Geologically, it is contained in a large valley. Astronomically, it has a very dark, starry sky. Minimalistically, it lacks objects. Spatially, it is very large. Frankly, I should get on with it.

This map is definitely a beginner's map. But, it is one of the better ones that I've seen. As stated previously it has no props. This does make the map a bit repetitive. But the terrain mostly makes up for this in being smooth and actually seeming to be *gasp* planned out. So many first time maps look like the author just took the terrain tool, set it to a certain height and went blot, blot, blot with it.

"Kessel" has Conquest for Galactic Civil War and Clone Wars. But it's not quite what you would expect. GCW is normal, nothing new to see there. CW on the other hand is dah, dah daaaaaah... Clones vs Stormies! It makes for an interesting battle. But beware, Stormtroopers look very much like Clone Troopers. You'll have to re-condition yourself to shoot a unit that looks very much like your teammates. Confuse the two and you'll either be dead via ignorance or wildly TKing people. Each team has a supporting Jedi-type unIt which makes for an interesting battle with lightsabers and lightning flying everywhich way.

*[b]Modders Side Note:[/b] I can't remember if I've given this tip before, but shoot, I'll just do it anyways. The loadscreen is the very first thing you see in a map. At least for me it gives an idea on how the rest of the map will look/feel/play. When I see a map without a loadscreen I think "Oh... that's too bad" and almost unconsciously lower my expectations for the map. So, make a great loadscreen and leave a good impression. There's not much for flair or scenery to this map, but it's pretty solid example of a good beginners map. Good work agent56k!

As either side it is a good idea to use sniper class as the most central not captured CP is in a valley.
