Description
Have you ever thought to yourself "Gee whiz, I wish I was a better duelist, but I just can't figure out how to compete"? Well being one of those people (or rather the "I can't be bothered to play" people), I can't vouch for this set of demos, but somehow I don't think it's like those "make a million dollars in ten seconds!" tapes they try to sell you on the radio. All the points in these demos seem feasible.

So basically this is a single saber training tutorial, presented as demos. This is great, seeing as how it provides a written explanation in addition to demonstration, a true testament to the word "demo"! There are eleven "chapters" to this tutorial, each using its own demo file, so you can watch them in any order, in case you already know something and want to skip it. It also makes it easier to find the section you need to see if, for instance, you need to repeat something.

The cons, you ask? Well as with anything, you can't see the keys the author is pressing while he's doing the moves, so you may actually have to read the text. Certainly an "oh no" for some of you. :p My only other complaint is that it is a bit hard to understand sometimes, due to some interesting spellings of words and some incorrect word usage. I'll chalk this up to the author not having English as a first language. Beyond that, though, it's clear, easy to understand, and relatively thorough. As with any good tutorial, it also includes examples of what not to do. It also includes a few simple NPCs to test out your moves on. See how long it takes you to kill NPCs of varying health levels! If you're doing it right, it shouldn't take you long at all.

If you're looking to improve your dueling skills with a single saber, check this set of demos out. And someone who's already a good dueler should check it out and let us all know if it's really any good. ;)
