Description
The Force Unleashed (and Starkiller himself) certainly seems to have become popular hasn’t it? Even despite the fact that it was released on practically every platform (even mobile phones!) except the PC! I and many other Star Wars fans will no doubt never forgive Lucasarts for this transgression, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles I guess!

Anyway, here we have two new skins of popular Starkiller models from the community; the Jedi Adventure Robe reskin of the model made by UnsungHero/Schrodinger, and the Light Training Gear reskin of the famous model made by HellKobra.

First off, lets have a look at the Jedi Adventure Robe.

This skin has a black and grey colour scheme, with most of the robes being a light grey, with areas like the belt and other highlights being black. Whilst this doesn’t look quite as ‘Sithy’ as you would expect from such a colour scheme, it doesn’t look very Jedi-like either. More like a grey Jedi’s kind of robes I would say. This skin definitely needs quite a bit more work; the grey areas are completely flat grey which doesn’t look right at all. I would definitely recommend adding some texture to these areas to make it look more like cloth and also work on making the black highlights such as the belt a bit neater, as they have somewhat jaggedy edges.

Next up, the Light Training Gear.

This skin is completely the opposite of the other skin as far as clothing is concerned, in keeping with the ‘light’ and ‘training’ themes of the costume. Although I am not entirely sure what the skin coloured parts of the skin are meant to be, I believe it is actually skin. It’s a little difficult to tell, since there are no ‘muscle marks’ to indicate that it is bare skin, but at the same time it doesn’t really look like clothing either. Definitely something to work on there for next time – add some muscles! There is a problem here of course because the model normally has clothes on, and it is very difficult to skin over clothes and make it actually look like skin because the shape of the clothing is still there.

Conclusion

All in all a decent skin pack here, although I definitely think it needs some more work on the skinning side of things. Also, this doesn’t have any team skins, and I think that is also something that could be worked on for next time too. Both these skins have some custom taunts however, which does add nicely to the overall package. Keep up the good work Spior, I look forward to seeing your skills continue to improve! :)
