Description
1_DARK_SITH is here today with this map, War of Bases. It is a map set on a foresty planet. It has a few different sections, primarily from Kamino, Yavin, and Kashyyyk.

The map's is a very large field, with some slight terrain variation throughout. In the center is a bunch of Kamino platforms with a few CPs on them. On the left is a Yavin section with a cluster of temples and CPs. In the top right is the Kamino building with two CPs in it. And on the bottom right, there is a pit with a lot of Kashyyyk bridges and platforms. These areas are all fairly standard, but the bridge sections are put together well and there isn't any clipping noticeable. The map is filled with trees as well, which is where the foresty part comes from.

Now, for the shortcomings. The map uses the default sky, which is sort of annoying. Also, the default terrain is used as well for the vast majority of the map, which gets somewhat boring having seen it so much. On the upside, however, the map avoids a bunch of the other first map drawbacks- its terrain is not steep or unvaried, it maintains some order amongst the various props used, and there are not too many pathing issues due to the map's openness. This is not to say that pathing should not be done, as some bots didn't seem to know where to go or would get stuck on a few objects. For the most part, though, they did what they were supposed to do.

Overall, this is a first map, but it's a fairly decent one. Give it a download if you like the screenshots (which I took, since the author didn't include any- you should probably do that in the future).
