Description This hilt has been created for the November-December 2006 JKFiles Hilt Contest.
Well, this is another contest hilt. And once again, since this is a contest hilt, I am going to be more technical with it.
This hilt uses a lot of different, yet simple pieces to look complex. There is a lot of cylinders used in this to make the emitter look complex, and some other simple items were moved around to make the buttons of the model. The grip is in essence just a cylinder with the finger grooves indented into the cylinder. Oh, the emitter part of the model looks like it’s upraised, as well. The model also has a blade included, so it’s a combination saber and sword.
The skinning consists of a wood pattern as the base, and what looks like an inscribed stone trim. The model uses a shader on a globe on the butt of the hilt, which makes use of dynamic lighting.
There are seven variations of this hilt, ranging from skinning differences, to model differences, including having the blade not be on the hilt, or having it on.
