Description
Behold! A big bad saber has arrived in town!

This time, we get a gray themed type of saber, with a less than favorable polycount, a texture that screams 'not metal' at you, and an almost-but-not-quite-good design.

Model
I find that you can get away with a 12-sided cylinder and get a good mix between quality and polygon usage. This saber is 6-sided, which is the absolute minimum. And for reference, most baseJKA hilts are 8-sided. Sides aside, the design is alright, but it could use some work. My chief gripe with it is that shield-like guard at the top. It's too large, and doesn't fit well with the spikes at the bottom. Lastly, there's the button. It's a triangle that sticks out way too far from the body. Redo that, please.

Texture
The first thing I noticed was the outlining. It just doesn't look right, and defines the edges, making it easier to tell it's 6-sided. Up next is the metal, or lack thereof. Up close, it simply does not look like metal. Fortunately, it is unlikely that you will see this saber up close when in-game, so it will work to an extent. There is a specular shader too, so you get an extra cookie for that.

Overall, I'd say you should try redoing the model from scratch, but with the design altered and improved upon. You've got potential, but you aren't running that extra mile... yet...
