Description After a year and a half, Benzo has returned to once again wow the Doom 3 community with his popular Single Player mod, and judging from the size alone between this version and previous versions...v1.6 comes with a whole lot more sweetness! Infernal Death Orgy is a mod that improves Doom3 in many ways. It makes Doom3 more realistic, better looking, and slightly more difficult. It does all this without meddling with the game's atmosphere. This mod is based on the super popular [file="76838"]Denton's Enhanced Doom3 (v2.02)[/file] mod, which has already received an outstanding score here at Doom3Files.
Some of the features in this version include:
Some monsters have different 'thud' sounds (the sound you hear when their dead carcass hits the floor). For example:
Big monsters like Hellknights and Mancubus make a louder thud
Revenants have a thud sound which incorporates a little bone rattling
Some zombie animations in plain Doom3 omitted out footstep sounds, and I have fixed this.
Added a lasersight to the machinegun.
More optional packs.
More new particles.
Added shakes to certain sounds for more immersion.
And more!
The Infernal Death Orgy mod is a good choice for both the expert Doom3'er as well as people about to play Doom3 for the first time. The easy difficulty level (Mellow) is good for beginners, and the hard difficulty level (Merciless) will challenge experienced players who want to replay Doom3 at a higher level. If Merciless isn't tough enough for you, try using the optional UltraViolence pack and/or SpeedDemons pack for an extremely difficult game!
A taste of the Optional Goodies are as follows:
pak667_UltraViolence.pk4
This enables random monster spawning.
pak667_TurboMonsters.pk4
This increases the speed of kombat oriented monster animations by 50%, thereby making monsters more furious.
pak667_Xio's_monster_skins.pk4
This pack contains new monster skins.
