Wookiee as PC

This exact mod idea has been done [url=http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Chewbacca;64681]before[/url]. Not that it is a bad thing. In fact, it’s a good thing for those who can’t mod worth a lick and have trouble using tk102’s KSE. There are many people out there like that. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. That is why we modders are here. So, please be courteous when making comments about how easy it is for you to make. Just remember there is always someone else out there that is better than you at modding and could poke fun at the fact they can do something you can’t do and brag how easy it is for them to do what you can’t. ;) Also, there are people who will be interested in this.

JcoolZombie returns with a very interesting mod. What this does is make your start off as a Wookiee in the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. Now, I did say this has been done before, but it was done for [i]Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords[/i] last year. So if you were looking for this to be finally made for the original KOTOR game, it’s finally here! :)

Usually you start a new game by selecting a new head, and class, etc. Well, this time the author used the KSE and changed the character appearance into a Wookiee and also changed the portrait to a Zaalbar one and uploaded a saved game for you to use. Imagine your “PC” (don’t want to give away spoilers :p) as a Wookiee after going through it. Oh, and he named him Chewbacca just like the previous TSL version of the mod did. (Don’t read this part if you don’t want to be spoiled) It will be interesting to see how the revelation scene plays out with a Wookiee model. Hopefully it won’t crash it. I’m not going to play through the game to find out so use at your own risk. I would like to hear reports about it even if it works fine and even screenshots if possible as I know others would like to also know how it plays out.

One thing to know is that the author had to choose is a character class. So I opened my game to check out what he selected and it was a scout. I was guessing that because that is the class Zaalbar is. Hanharr in the sequel is also a scout, so I suppose it’s fitting to choose that class. :p

Now, bare in mind that this is a mod you do not put in your override folder; you put it in your saves folder. It’s possible it will override a previous save and it could be one you want to save. If so, move it somewhere else as a backup or this will override it if you have the same saved game name in there. Well, what can I say, you get to be a Wookiee if you download and play with this. Enjoy! :D
