Description Yavin vs. Geonosis is mbriscool's first map and has a very original premise.
*Modder's Side Note: When you are setting up your readme, stuff like the following, very helpful description, should go inside it and not just in the description section. We know the field says description, but it just gets erased and replaced by our reviews. So, if you want it to be seen by people other than ourselves(although I am flattered) put it in the readme. Just sayin'*
This is the first map of the Planet Vs Planet series. It takes everyone's least favorite maps and combines them. This map is Geonosis VS Yavin. It consists of 4 command posts, two of them being under the main area of both planets. The main areas are the giant Yavin temple and the Geonosis spire. Next to both are for the temple two small yavin temples, while for the spire two techno union ships. There is a Kasshyyk tree house on top of the temple with cloning systems and a little surprise. Behind both main areas are various hills with geonosis materials and Yavin materials. The sides are default. Enjoy!
I think that this is a great idea. We're all sort of sick of more of the same Yavin and Geonosis maps. This adds something interesting to something... old.
Idea? Great. Execution? Not so good. Items are missing and off the ground. Trees are stacked on top of other trees and there seems to be no barriers to speak of. These issues are nothing that can't be fixed in about ten minutes with the wonderful ZE.
YvG does use the default command post setup and the default Yavin sky. But since it's Yavin and a first timer's map I would be willing to overlook this if everything were grounded properly. Right now it's not at the "must-download" level. But it could be.
So, mbriscool, before you release anymore maps in this series, I would go back to this one and fix all of the little bugs and issues.
I love the idea and keep on goin'.
Cheers!
