The Crystal Wars 2.0

I remember reviewing fire_tamer's earlier version of "The Crystal Wars," and while this version isn't anywhere near perfect it is most assuredly an improvement.

His earlier map was essentially the basic munged map with some terrain heights changed and some crystal props added in (not always necessarily placed on the ground, either). This time around, he's improved the map by at least making it look different from the original munged map (although the sky still wasn't changed) - there have been more props added, and most of them aren't floating (although a few are - it looks like one of the stone walls was meant to be placed but wasn't, or was deleted).

This is still a map that has a lot of room for improvement, though. By and large, it's much too large for what's going on in the map. Things are too spread-out and much too flat, which makes the gameplay suffer.

The CW era will crash. I'm not sure why the author left that as a selectable option, but this should be fixed. The GCW era is unchanged in conquest (sides-wise) while the assault features some of the less-often-used stock units. To the author - definitely keep working, this is a good step in the right direction.
